Meet the Artist
Paige Parker
Tattoos & Artistry
I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember, and I began my journey into tattooing in 2019. I got my start at Black Cat Tattoo, which is an incredibly welcoming space where I learned alongside other artists who value self-taught and community-rooted approaches. Since then, I’ve grown deeply in my craft and now tattoo at Famiglia Tattoo, where I’m continuing to evolve my tattoo practice.
Depending on the demand, I typically open my books every 3 to 5 months. I often prioritize flash pieces but also take on a small number of custom designs each round. If you’re curious about whether your idea might align with my work, feel free to explore my past projects on my website or socials (Instagram and BlueSky), or reach out via my contact form. If your concept echoes the style of my previous work, it's more likely that I'll be interested in taking it on. I also offer consultations to walk through design details and make sure you feel confident about the process before your appointment. Please note that I do not send files of my artwork in advance to protect against potential art theft.
In addition to my booking process, creating a safe, low-stimulation, and private space is incredibly important to me. The room I tattoo in is quiet, intentional, and designed to help clients feel comfortable. I care deeply about meeting people where they’re at, and I hold space for various tattoo journeys. If you are ever feeling unsure or uneasy, please let me know, and I'll do everything in my power to make the space and experience as comfortable as possible. My practice is open to anyone who approaches this space with respect and care for all people, and for artists and the work we do.
Outside of tattooing, I also take on custom digital illustrations and oil painting commissions. I've been commissioned for logos, posters, album covers, pet portraits, signage, aesthetic, and more! If a project resonates with my style, I’m more than happy to chat about it and see how we could bring the idea to life.
Personal Life
When I’m not immersed in tattoos and illustration, I find joy in other hobbies that keep my hands busy and heart full. Some other artistic areas I find myself dabbling in are film photography, sewing, painting, and crafting. I often create from the comfort of my home painting studio, where I spend time oil painting and nurturing my craft.
In addition, my film camera is a constant companion, travelling with me and helping me document fleeting moments across seasons, places, and stages of life. Each frame is a quiet reflection of where I've been and how I see the world. If you’d like to see more, you can see my oil painting on social media here and my film photography here.
Speaking of travel, exploring the world has been a continual passion of mine. I’ve explored 21 countries so far, and I plan to visit many more! Being raised on Vancouver Island, nature has always been my grounding force. Being surrounded by forests and the ocean inspires me daily and encourages me to see the beauty in other parts of the world. That upbringing has also instilled me with a love of botany and nature, which is reflected in many themes of my work.
I also hold a degree in psychology, and mental health is something I deeply care about both academically and personally. I’m drawn to the complexity of the human mind, and am often fascinated by how that intertwines with true crime and criminology. Understanding why people do what they do adds depth to my creative practice and understanding, and informs how I connect with those around me.
Now living in Victoria for over a decade, I share my home with my two sweet rescue rabbits. At my core, I value creating comfortable spaces around me to ensure that everyone I surround myself with feels safe, seen, and heard.
